• You know the off-duty cop who beat up the bartender? Well, a second cop may have tried to silence the bartender.
• Last week a pregnant woman waiting for an El train got dizzy and fell off the platform onto the tracks. Two brave men jumped down and lifted her back up to the platform. Luckily the train was able to stop in time and no one got hurt.

• Remember Lauren Kiefer, the 24-year-old model from Oakbrook Terrace who was raped and then beat to death with an aluminum baseball bat on Christmas? Robert Rejda, a childhood friend of hers, was charged and is facing the death penalty if convicted.
