While waiting for the bus yesterday, we noticed several plants beginning to sprout up out of the dirt in a sidewalk planter. Yes, Chicago, spring has officially sprung. Flickr user jaymce posted a truly beautiful shot entitled "chicago springing," a wonderful lesson in moody tones and depth of focus.

The season always reminds us a bit of fresh starts and new beginnings; so, Chicago, what are you hoping for at the beginning of spring?
