You're About to Get (High) Schooled

Parents, get ready for another summer of “Can We? Can We? Can We?? Can We?????” The Empire of the Mouse is bringing the first extended run of High School Musical, stage version, to the LaSalle Bank Theater. The runaway sensation of stage and screen lets elementary and middle school kids—and their parents—live vicariously through its characters, which in turn are living vicariously through the drama department.

Disney’s milking the hell out of its hit movie musical, mounting shorter stage engagements in Detroit and Philly, before the Chicago run (July 25 – September 2). Next up, Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour hits NYC’s Madison Square Garden in September and more than 100 other cities after that.

Information’s not yet available from Disney Theatricals about ticket prices or the timing of sale. And those rumors about “High School Cirque” and “Blue Man High School: Totally Tubular” are unsubstantiated.

High School Musical comes to the LaSalle Bank Theater, 22 W Monroe St, July 25 - September 2. Might as well start camping out now.
