Focus, People, Focus

Flickr user, photoshopabuser, snapped this shot of a young, aspiring photographer at Millennium Park. Although kids with cameras are now a common sight across the country, we're still always a bit flabbergasted when we see a little whippersnapper with some serious glass in hand. We remember the days of our childhood, when a $30 point and shoot from KMart was considered a "big girl" camera. As evidenced by our ever-growing Flickr pool, we also know that many more adults have taken up photography with the advent of the digital age.
How have your photography habits changed since digital cameras came on the market? What do you shoot with? If you're a proud parent, do your children have any envy-inspiring gear, or are they treated to disposable cameras?
Focus, People, Focus is a weekly photography feature that features a photograph taken by a reader of the site. If you'd like a chance to have your photo featured on Friday as part of Focus, People, Focus, upload your photo to Flickr and tag it with "Chicagoist".
