Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad

May%203%20animal_farm.jpgWe were thrilled with the number and caliber of responses to this month's Convince Us about junior high.

It was a hard choice, part of us wanted to revisit the sorrowful Where the Red Fern Grows. We also wanted to go back to the banned-at-our-high-school-so-we-actually-read-it The Outsiders, but in the end, we turned to Mr. Orwell. We were supposed to read Animal Farm in seventh grade, but we had a soccer game that weekend and our crush told us he'd call and we had just gotten this really bad haircut from Kim who told us she knew how to cut hair and, well, we never really got around to it.

Our 180 page version of Animal Farm (with Ralph Steadman) is short enough to enjoy while waiting in line during CTA renovations, or a pop to the beach, without cutting into our concert hopping and boozing. In fact, Steadman's work is sure to be that much more amazing intoxicated.

Stay tuned for next week's update on the first fourth of the book. ::cheese drumroll:: Be sure to read along!
