This week's match-up between the Chicago Rush and the Dallas Desperados has been moved into the prime Monday night slot. The decision could not have been a tough one, as many predict this could be a preview of ArenaBowl XXI. The Rush (8-1) and the Desperados (9-1), along with the Georgia Force (8-1), are the only teams in the league with less than three losses.
It will be the third week in a row that the Rush have appeared on ESPN2 in the prime time Monday Night Football slot. The Rush have been winning in thrilling manner all year long and have provided plenty of excitement in the their first two Monday Night Football appearances. Rush wide receiver Bobby Sippio was named the AFL Offensive Player of the Week for his five-touchdown tally this past week in a victory over the Colorado Crush.
When the schedule was released earlier this year the Rush were originally scheduled for three MNF appearances. With the change to this week's game they will now have four appearances including the June 18 rematch of last week's game versus the Colorado Crush.
