The Wolves are Backed Into a Corner

By Todd McClamroch in News on May 24, 2007 1:28PM

The Chicago Wolves find themselves down 3-0 and on the road in the American Hockey League Western Conference Finals. With a win the Hamilton Bulldogs will make it to the Calder Cup final for the second time in as many years. If the Bulldogs pull of the sweep it would be the first time in their club history.

Despite being down 3 games to zero the Wolves have not been blown out by the Bulldogs. The Wolves lost the first two games in overtime (Game 1: 6-5 & Game 2: 3-2). Last night the Wolves got the first goal but surrendered two goals in the second and fell to the Bulldogs 2-1. The Wolves hit the ice in what could be their last game of the year on Friday night. The Wolves will need to win four straight to advance including the next two on the road.
