Authorities Seize Boatload of Keys, Bake Cake

Did anybody see the picture of the effing boatload of keys authorities seized in Will County this week?

cocaine%2520fiends.gifIf you didn't, it's worth taking a look at. Four hundred kilograms, with what authorities say has a street value between $80 million and $120 million, depending on how much the distributors stepped on it, among other factors. The cocaine was sealed in boxes with the name of a meat company on them, and had some other material that could have made it look like it was actually marbled beef — that is, if they hadn't already found drugs on the two guys who were "shipping" it.

The judge who set bail for the two men at $20 million each was flabbergasted himself, siting 20 years of experience going by without ever having seen anything like this. Maybe they just weren't the brightest carriers to get caught, but there's a whole lot more where it came from. Not to harp on the community aspect again, but that is one whole hell of a lot of blow for Lockport Township.
