Weekend Lit

We're jetting off this weekend to see some family away from our dear Chicago, but if we were here, this is where you'd find us.
Tonight is the Printer's Ball. Always fun, free, and there's plenty of swag available.
Zhou B. Art Center, 1029 W. 35th. Friday, 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Free.
But first we'd duck in to see Chicagoist alum Scott Smith read with the Machine Media Fest at Quimby's.
Quimby's, 1854 N Ave. Friday, 7 p.m. Free
Saturday will mostly be filled hopefully with us running around clutching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but that might just be us. The Hemingway Museum, however, will be celebrating Papa's 108th birthday.
Hemingway Museum, 200 N. Park Ave., Oak Park. Saturday,7:30 p.m. $10.
On Sunday, we have to give it up again for the Beach Poet series, namely because one of their featured readers is Julia the Russian Magician.
Loyola Park Beach, Greenleaf Ave and the lake. Sunday, 4 p.m. Free.
