- Y'all know we were under a flood watch today? Could've fooled us.

- The Chicago Police department unsuccessfully tried to fire an officer for punching an elderly man in the face during a fender bender. Now that same officer is accused of doing nothing while fellow officers beat up patrons at Carol's Pub in January.

- All those "It's Gonna Happen" t-shirts, hats, and wristbands being sold at Cubs games are the brainchild of John Murray, who was banned from Wrigley Field in 1995 after trying to attack former Cubs closer Randy Meyers on the pitcher's mound.

- Your "Krusty-O's" moment of the day: Sara Lee has recalled bread sold under EarthGrains, Sara Lee Delightful Wheat and several other brands because the loaves may contain small pieces of metal.

- Christopher Vaughn pleads not guilty to charges of murdering his wife and three children in June.

Have a safe weekend, everyone.
