Police Catch NBA Robbers, Link Break-Ins

Can local NBA players breathe a bit easier now? Late last week, Chicago police arrested four gang members in connection with the home invasion and robbery at Antoine Walker's River North mansion. Working with police in Burr Ridge investigating the similar break-in at Eddy Curry's house, the police connected two of the suspects to both crimes.
The alleged motive for the two home invasions was "monetary gain" and neither of the NBA stars has been linked to those arrested — we'll admit we were wrong when we assumed some connection. One theory presented in court was that the gang bangers followed the players home from their gyms.
On the other hand, the case was broken in part by fingerprints left in Walker's stolen Mercedes, which is exactly how our inner CSI would have started our investigation. Additionally, security camera footage, cell phone records, and catching some of the suspects with stolen items helped break open the case. Note to stupid criminals: putting rims stolen from an NBA star's Mercedes on your girlfriend's Oldsmobile might attract attention!
While the third suspect from the Curry incident remains at large, we have a feeling he'll be caught soon enough.
