Jerome Finnigan, Let's Make A Deal

By Margaret Lyons in News on Oct 30, 2007 5:17PM

2007_09_26_finnigan.jpgJerome Finnigan, the allegedly corrupt cop at the center of the SOS debacle, is cooperating with authorities by apparently dishing on his higher-ups. Finnigan faces a series of kidnapping, home invasion and robbery accusations, plus he's been indicted on murder-for-hire charges.

From the Sun-Times:

“[Prosecutors are] using Finnigan to move up the food chain,” one source said.

Another source said, “He’s cooperating. What he’s trying to do is get someone bigger than himself.”

Snap. What kind of info would Finnigan be able to bargain with? According to Second City Cop,

Probably who moved him around to different units in an effort to quash investigations. Maybe who got money? Retired names along with active bosses?

We have a request for comment pending with the police news affairs office.
