Chilling Out

Notice that nip in the air? Because our planet spins on a tilted axis, that nip's about to get nippier, starting any minute now. We may be in for the first frost of the season tonight, possibly accompanied by flurries. Aw, shitfuck. It is on, wintertime.

It's going to be even chillier tomorrow, with temperatures in the 30s all day, so get your blankets and doodads out of the closet and prepare. Today, the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory because these blustery conditions can make driving difficult, especially for "high profile vehicles." In our experience, waiting for buses and trains is also difficult with 45 mph winds.

This is on the later side of things for the first frost. Typically, our area turns into a barren iceland by October 31, so be glad your plants got a few extra days outside. Time to bring 'em in, though. And time to add hot cocoa to your shopping list.
