ABBA not ABCs

Prior to having our child, we would have considered this concept hilarious. A DJ spinning disco classics for ... toddlers? We still chuckle, but since we’ve seen our own toddler shake it to a good bass beat, we might be convinced to see what all the fuss is about.
Baby Loves Disco hosts monthly parties in 21 different cities, including one at our very own Metro this Sunday. In addition to the aforementioned DJ (in Chicago Bald Eagle spins), they’ve stocked up on bubbles, noise makers and snacks enough to completely over-stimulate your young one. When the inevitable occurs, the people at BLD have thoughtfully set aside a “chill out room” complete with tents and books. Throw in changing tables and they’ve thought of everything a kid needs to boogie at one of Chicagoist’s favorite venues.
Tickets are $12 for walkers (that includes you), and the beat goes on from 12-3 p.m. this Sunday. If you miss this show, they’ll be back December 9.
