Another Saturday Night...

By Margaret Lyons in Arts & Entertainment on Nov 24, 2007 7:51PM

To the five people checking the site today, specifically my father: Please enjoy the above video of John Denver and the Muppets singing "Where The River Meets the Sea" from Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas. Can you watch this without choking up? We cannot. Anyway!

It's been so stupid-cold the last few days we've barely left our warmth cocoon on the couch (tip: the fuzzy robe makes a huge difference), but if you haven't capitalized on the four-day weekend just yet, tonight's the night. We're still endorsing sing along Grease and Rory Lake's Karaoke Dreams, but there's plenty of other stuff, too. Por ejemplo:

The Museum of Science and Industry is open until 7pm tonight (usual hours are only til 4), so take advantage and finally hit up the Star Wars exhibit you know you're dying to see.

Mary Lynn Rajskub--best known as Chloe from 24/for making out with Rush Limbaugh (file under: Things We Can't Unsee)--has two stand-up performances at the Lakeshore Theater tonight. Tickets are $22.50.

Flosstradamus is spinning at Sonotheque, which is impossible to spell correctly on the first try. It's a $7 cover, doors at 9pm, and booty shakin' til 3.
