Insert Obligatory Caddyshack Quote Here

Who knew "celebrity" golf tournaments could be such a flustercuck? Not Caddyshack star Cindy "Lacey Underall" Morgan. She hosted a 2006 event, which was supposed to benefit the Illinois Military Family Relief Fund, turned out to be a disaster. A giant no-money-making, friendship-ending, lawsuit-generating disaster. Morgan says only about 100 people played golf, that the Caddyshack cast members who did show (Bill Murray and Chevy Chase weren't there) left early, and now she's on the hook for a boatload of money still owed to the golf club--and oh yeah, the event didn't raise a dime for charity. And Lt. Governor Pat Quinn would prefer that you forget his news conference promoting the event.
Oak Brook Hills Marriott Resort and Willow Crest Golf Club is suing Morgan's nonprofit for unpaid bills plus $64K for rooms the hotel reserved for golfers that no one booked, and Hamilton Mitchell, aka Motormouth, already sued Morgan for not paying his appearance fee. Motormouth's appearance fee is $3,000? We're filing that under "the world is a terrifying place."
Hands down, the best part of this story is that in very first line in the Trib article, reporter Steve Schmadeke identifies Morgan as "[s]till sort of famous." Heh.
Image of Morgan from her website, where you can book her for your own Caddyshack-themed events. Because this one worked out so well.
