Telling Stories and Beating Ass

Tomorrow night kicks off Metro's "Home For The Holidays" weekend with a veritable who's who of Chicago-based bands that have had big 2007s. We've waxed ecstatic about OFFICE and the 1900s plenty in the past, so now we'd like to direct your attention to our favorite part of the undercard and encourage you to get out there early.
The Narrator kind of kick ass, and by that we mean they leave it all on the stage - trashed instruments, broken bottles, and bodily fluids included. It’s probably impossible to capture the debaucherous shitstorm that is a Narrator show on tape, but this year's All That to the Wall is the closest approximation yet. It’s a more-than-solid garage-y guitar record that’s resonated outside of our fair city due to inclusion on the roster of the white-hot Flameshovel label, but we Chicagoans should still hide a smirk to think that we get to see these guys totally kill it more often that the rest of the world.
The Narrator plays tomorrow night at Metro, 9:00 p.m., $10
