No Bare Arms For Proviso East?

What's so special about the Proviso East boys' basketball team? It's not that they were ranked fifth in the state, or that they're currently 3-8. Nope, it's their sleeves. The team's basketball jerseys are t-shirt style. (The girls' team has the traditional tank-style jerseys.) Weird, right?

Yes, says the venerable Uni Watch, which we'll warn you not to read because you will become obsessed with it. Seriously, that site is a dangerous mistress. Anyhow, Uni Watcher Paul Lukas writes:

So it looks like basketball has almost always been sleeve-free. Which makes Proviso East’s sleeve-iness all the more puzzling. This is definitely a topic I’d like to explore in more detail — contributions welcome.

Now we're curious too. What other sports uniform anomalies are Illinois students rocking?
