Hump Day Music Round Up

Welcome to the second full work-week of 2008. If yours is going anything like ours, the term "hump day" doesn't even make you crack a smile. Here's (hopefully) some motivation to get you to the weekend:
Remember the Dill Pickle Co-op benefit that was supposed to happen in November? Well, it was cancelled due to double booking conflicts and has been rescheduled for Saturday at AV-aerie. The lineup includes Detholz!, Pit er Pat, and Bobby Conn DJing. Cost is $15 at the door, and the bar is donation only (w00t)! All proceeds go toward opening a co-op in Logan Square.
Can't wait for Saturday? Head to AV-aerie on Friday instead for Pavement Group's fundraiser concert, "Pave-Aid." The theatre group (yes, named after the band) invites you to come see some of Chicagoist's favorite local bands: Blue Ribbon Glee Club, The Fake Fictions, Brother Truck and more, all for the suggested donation of $10 at the door.
Speaking of Pavement, Stephen Malkmus is coming to the Vic in March (scroll down).
