Drink%20up.jpgLooking for a great place to indulge in the Irish food classics and knock back a few pints? Head over to some of our favorites:

  • Chief O’Neill’s – Head over to this classic Irish bar to enjoy fantastic Irish food, music and dance today. The doors open at 10 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11. The music and dancing begins at 5 and continues into the evening hours until the clock turns over a new day. $5 cover charge after 4. Try the house cured Corned Beef with braised cabbage, carrots, and baby reds! (3471 N. Elston)
  • Grace O’Malley’s – The gorgeous, dark wood of the bar is as warm as the hospitality here. Have a pint of Guinness and take a seat to soak up the Irish flavor of Grace O’Malley’s. Indulge in the Guinness and Irish Cheddar soup, JFK’s Reuben, or the classic Corned Beef and Cabbage. The Irish Bleu Cheese-Crusted Pork Loin may be just the meal to provide a nice, solid foundation for the number of pints you’ll be knocking back here. (1416 S. Michigan Ave)
  • D4 Irish Pub and Café – Named after owner Brendan McNeill’s Irish zip code (Dublin4), D4 has the street cred to pull off a great St. Patrick’s day celebration. You can also take a look at The Book of Kells while you’re here! They’ll be serving up Irish classics, including Irish stew and Shepherd’s pie. (345 E. Ohio)
  • Abbey Pub – Head to the Abbey Pub today for live coverage of the Gaelic Games on their 15 foot screen and 14 monitors around the bar! Then stay for the great bands and dancers they’ll have throughout the evening hours. Try any of their Irish classics or branch out and feast on their Guinness spiked meatloaf! (3420 W. Grace)
  • Fado Irish Pub – Fado (pronounced f’doe) will have you moving from room to room and floor to floor so you can enjoy every square inch of this contemporary but classic Irish bar. For eats, the salmon is fresh, the salads are crisp, and the Corned Beef is tender. Finish it all off with a Fado Irish coffee, which includes some Bushmills Irish Whiskey, brown sugar, and whipped cream and cinnamon. (100 W. Grand Ave)
