American Pilots to Protest

American Airlines has cancelled another 200 flights today, bringing the week's total to nearly 3,300. Were you one of the folks stranded when American Airlines cancelled over a thousand flights after grounding their fleet of MD-80s for inspection? Were you calling the 800 number to reschedule your flight, only to get a recording saying representatives are busy, so call back later? If so, the Allied Pilots Association is inviting you to share your story at www.TellYourAAStory.com.
The APA represents the 12,000 pilots who work for American Airlines and ran ads in USAToday this week proclaiming their embarrassment that so many passengers are continually inconvenienced and dissatisfied “due to mismanagement.” To further drive home this point, pilots are planning to protest in nine cities across the country, including Chicago, next Tuesday.
No word on what form the protest will take, whether or not passengers will be even further inconvenienced.
