Indiana Great For Truck To Spill Poop On

We know we've been a little heavy on Indiana news recently, but this was too good to pass up: A truck leaked treated human feces over a 300-yard stretch of highway near Crown Point. Weren't we just talking about how Indiana smells?
The waste was on its way from a treatment plant to a field, but the truck driver apparently failed to secure the rear gate of his dumptruck. He drove a few blocks before realizing that his truck was leaking feces everywhere.
After several hours of hosing down the pavement, the scent of the waste had died down from the overwhelming aroma that sent firefighters scrambling for their air tanks when they arrived around 10:30 a.m. By late afternoon, a mildly pungent, horse-pasture odor was all that remained.
The waste had been processed at a recycling center, so even though it was stinky, it wasn't hazardous. Ten points to the copy editor who came up with the headline "Dump truck driver unwittingly, uh, dumps load of waste on Indiana 55." Crap jokes! They're always funny! [Post Tribune]
