Judy the Doberman Pinscher

Judy is a three-year-old Doberman Pinscher available for adoption from Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus. Judy was originally placed with a family that had other, older dogs in the home. Unfortunately, Judy had some problems with aggression, and since she was the youngest of the dogs in the household, the decision to find her a new home seemed the most equitable.
Dobermans have the unfortunate reputation as being aggressive, vicious canines. Like any animal, they have a variety of temperaments, but because Dobermans are known as guard and military dogs, their reputation can be tough to overcome. Generally, Doberman Pinschers are gentle, loyal, loving, and highly intelligent dogs. If they feel their property or family are threatened, they will try to protect, and like any dog, if they are mistreated, they may fight back.
Because Judy is uncertain around other dogs and people that she is unfamiliar with, IDR is only placing her with a family that meets certain prerequisites: families with children over 12 years old, a fenced yard, and a home with no other dogs. Because Judy is still so young, she can be trained, but would do best with someone who has the time and patience to work on her confidence and obedience training needs. If you've got room for Judy in your life, or if you'd like to check out all the other cool Dobermans IDR has (including this awesome albino Dobe), get in touch with IDR today!
