Hip Hop
The duo of Ant and Slug, more commonly known as Atmosphere, are one of the standard bearers for Minneapolis hip-hop, with a fervent following throughout the Midwest. Their latest album, When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold, is another solid offering of strong rhymes and creative samples. Atmosphere is in the final night of a two-night sold-out run at Metro this evening. Abstract Rude and DJ Rare Groove open.
We've roasted a whole suckling pig in our backyard before, so we know it's a lot of work. This evening, Fiddlehead Café is roasting one and pairing it with selections from the new-to-bottling Flossmoor Station brewpub.

Charity Bartending
We'll be posting our interview with Blue Sky Inn Executive Director Lisa Thompson tomorrow. This evening, you can head over to Irish Eyes and support Blue Sky Inn, where volunteers will be behind the bar from 7-11 p.m. serving hard drinks for people who want to get drunk fast. All tips collected will go to Blue Sky Inn.

Restaurant Opening
Shochu, the latest offering from Lynne Wallack and Josh Hansen of Deleece, opens today. Named after the top-selling Japanese rice spirit, this 70-seat restaurant will focus on small plates with a fusion of American and Asian influences. Shochu (the drink) will also be featured prominently. the restaurant will only be open for dinner, for now.
