A county judge issued a ruling against the Park District and Latin School today, mostly siding with Protect Our Parks. From Crain's:
Specifically, [the judge] ruled that plaintiffs probably are right that the proposed soccer field should have been considered by the Chicago Plan Commission under provisions of the city’s Lakefront Protection Ordinance. They also have a likelihood of success in winning on grounds that the Illinois Constitution gives citizens a right to full information on disposition of public assets, she said.
The ruling allows construction to continue on the field but not on the bleachers, lights or scoreboard. [Crain's]
