Lisa Van Allen testified today that she had sex with R. Kelly and an underage girl, both of whom she identified in the videotape central to Kelly's prosecution. The prosecution rested its case this afternoon, and Kelly's lawyers will present their case starting tomorrow. [Trib]
Jurors for the Tony Rezko trial told Judge Amy St. Eve today that they can't decide on one of the 24 counts Rezko faces. She told them to keep trying. [S-T]
Yeesh. A Minnesota church has banned a 13-year-old autistic boy from attending mass. According to the priest at the Church of St. Joseph, the 6-foot, 225-pound Adam Race is disruptive, has spit on people, has nearly knocked over parishioners, and has urinated in the church. Adam's mom denies that any of those things happened, and says the restraining order is about "fears of danger," not "actual danger." [AP]
Former Ph.D. candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago Peter Beckway is suing the five professors who rejected his final exam and wouldn't let him take his orals, thus ending his academic career. Beckway had a 3.88 GPA, and he picked the people who were on his panel. [S-T]
