Gate Crushes Metra Door, Hurts Woman

A woman was injured in what's being widely described as a "freak accident" on a Metra train this morning. The woman was standing in the vestibule area of the passenger car when a crossing gate struck the doors of the train, which in turn crumpled and injured the woman. Metra authorities don't know how the gate got damaged in the first place, and the woman is in serious condition. [Trib, AP]
