Looks like folks in south suburban Bridgeview will have to make their own trek over the state line if they want their Roman candle fix. Cook County sheriff's officers busted resident Douglas Klein with between $20,000 - $30,000 worth of fireworks he was keeping in a shed next to his mobile home, which surprisingly only resulted in a misdemeanor charge. Klein admitted that he's been selling the fireworks out of his home for over 20 years. Sherriff's police spokesman Bill Cunningham was quoted as saying that they hope to make several more such busts between now and the 4th of July holiday.

"We're not going after people letting off bottle rockets in their back yard," he said. "It's guys like this, who are looking to make a big profit selling illegal fireworks, who we are pursuing."
