Quick Bites

  • Social networking, meet the restaurant industry. FohBoh (an anagram for "Front of the House, Back of the House") bills itself as "the first, leading social-business network for the global restaurant industry." Unlike Yelp or Chow, FohBoh is a business-to-business network geared towards the insiders: restaurant industry employees, PR/marketing reps and media. But ordinary foodies won't be shooed away. With folks involved like Erin Shea (my predecessor as food and drink editor in these parts) as Director of Community Development, FohBoh holds a lot of promise.

  • A wave from us to new MenuPages Chicago editor Helen Rosner. So far the transition from Adam Peltz to Rosner looks seamless.

  • Goose Island, for its 20th anniversary, is selling limited edition specialty brews. The "20th Century Cellar Collection" collects brewpub favorites like Midway IPA and Old Clybourn Porter for $12 each (available at the brewpub) or as a group for $150. [The Stew]

  • More praise for Mado, this time from "Darwensi" at Chicago Gluttons. [Chicago Gluttons]
