A rash of shootings overnight in Chicago's South Austin neighborhood that occurred with a two-hour span left three men dead and two others injured. It's still unclear if the shootings were related.

  • Michael Guyton was found dead in the 4900 block of West Hubbard Street by Austin district beat officers around 11 p.m. last night. He had been shot multiple times and officers did not have any information about a suspect.

  • Shortly after midnight, there was a shooting in the 800 block of North Lorel Avenue, a mile north of where Guyton was found, injuring three men. One, 23 year-old Gregory Jones, was pronounced dead a short while later at Stroger Hospital. The other two men, both 19, were being treated for gunshot wounds to their backs. Officer John Henry said, "No one is in custody, and the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation."

  • A few blocks west of that shooting, a 23 year-old Bellwood man was found dead in his car. The man was found in the 700 block of North Central Avenue. No further information had been released by authorities.
