You Gotta Lose Your Mind to Chicago Rock Star Chef City

If, as everyone keeps saying, celebrity chefs are the new rock stars, then food groupies should keep an eye out for Marcus Samuelsson in the upcoming days. Tipster "youattal" wrote that the Swedish superstar, Aquavit owner and Macy's (née Marshall Field's) Culinary Council member is in town today training staff for tomorrow's opening of Marc Burger.

Located on Macy's seventh-floor food court, Marc Burger is Samuelsson's take on the all-American burger joint. Samuelsson is also scheduled to appear at tomorrow's grand opening, showing off his versions of custards, burgers and fries. While in town, also be on the lookout for Samuelsson at C-House in the Affina Chicago Hotel (166 E. Superior, 312-523-0923), his entry into the crowded Gold Coast/Streeterville restaurant scene.

"Top Chef" fans visiting C-House may recognize another familiar face: Season 3 contestant and BFF of Dale Levitski Sara Nguyen. Reader food critic Mike Sula reported that Nguyen is biding her time working front of house at C-House while Levitski makes the final tweaks to his soon-to-open West Loop outpost, Town and Country. Levitski has tapped Nguyen to be his sous chef.
