'Stros Shutout Cubs
Another good outing from a Cubs starter was wasted as the Cubs' offense couldn't get going, mustering four hits and no runs as the Astros beat the Cubs 3-0, the Cubs' third loss in a row. The loss kept the pesky Brewers only 4.5 games back as the pennant races heat up. Pitcher Jason Marquis only allowed two runs over six innings, but the Cubs left eight men on base in the losing effort. Zambrano, who was scratched from his start this weekend due to a tired arm, will take the mound for the Cubs tonight.

Lee, Tribe Shut Down Sox
The Cubs weren't the only Chicago team getting shut down last night: the White Sox fell to the Cleveland Indians 5-0 as Indians starter Cliff Lee became the first pitcher in the majors this season to reach 20 wins. Clayton Richard got the loss for the White Sox, giving up four runs in just four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Lee was dominant, pitching a complete game shutout and making the case for "great pitcher on a bad team that should win the Cy Young." The loss dropped the White Sox back into a tie for first place in the AL Central with the Twins.
