Cubs Blow Game To Reds
A bad outing from Kerry Wood and untimely error by Ronny Cedeno cost the Cubs another one yesterday, as they lost to the Reds 4-3. The Cubs had managed to scrape together three runs off Reds starter Aaron Harang and Cubs pitchers Sean Marshall, Neal Cotts, and Carlos Marmol allowed only one run on three hits before it all came crashing down as the Reds scored three in the bottom of the ninth, two off a bases loaded error by Cedeno. The Brewers lost so the Cubs maintained their four-game lead.

White Sox Miss Out On Sweep
The White Sox lost to the Angels 3-2 and missed out on a chance to sweep the team with the best record in the American League. Starter John Danks gave up two runs over five and 1/3 innings but it was Horacio Ramirez who earned the loss when Garret Anderson sac-flied to Jermaine Dye in right, allowing Gary Matthews, Jr. to score from third. Paul Konerko and Toby Hall both hit solo home runs for the Sox, but it wasn't quite enough. Next up for the Pale Hose are the Toronto Blue Jays who come in for a four-game series

Bears Top Colts
As we're sure most of you saw, the Chicago Bears opened their 2008 season last night with a 29-13 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Benjy will be up later with the full recap.
