Mixology 101... And then Some

It doesn't bear repeating, but we're doing it, anyway. Here at Chicagoist we're big fans of the Art of the Cocktail. If you aren't getting your fix from the "Properly Sauced" series, you can taste for yourself impeccably crafted cocktails while watching silk screen exhibitions and enjoying artwork. Starting Thursday night and running through October 9, Campari and Swindle Magazine are teaming up to host "The Art of the Cocktail" exhibitions throughout the city.

The exhibitions are taking place at NV Penthouse Lounge (116 W. Hubbard, 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9-11 p.m. next Friday, 9/26); the Violet Hour (1520 N. Damen, 7-9 p.m. Monday, 9/22); Citizen Bar (364 W. Erie, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, 9/25 and Thursday, 10/9); and Delilah's (2771 N. Lincoln, 9-11 p.m., Tuesday 9/30).

These exhibitions are free to the public, but we expect them to fill quick.

Note: Salma Hayek will not be appearing. But the post gives us an excuse to run a photo of her hawking Campari.
