Shon Williams, former University of Miami lineman and 1986 Sun-Times All-Chicago Area team member for King High School, was fired from his job as a football coach from DuSable High after being arrested in connection with a weekend bank robbery that led to a high-speed chase and a crash leaving one policeman injured. Aside from being fired, Williams was also, "pulled from his post as a community service representative at the school and reassigned to an area office, pending disciplinary action." Williams and 35-year-old Benyusef Hicks have been charged with a holding up a Buffalo Grove bank and making off with almost $12,000. A high-speed chase ensued but abruptly ended when the get-away car crashed into a Chicago policeman's car. The officer is in stable condition.
