Morning Box Score: Sox Throw Away Game Against Tribe

For the fourth night in a row, the White Sox came up on the short end of a game critical to their chances of making the postseason. Hosting the Cleveland Indians, the Sox saw an early lead turn into a big deficit and were unable to rally back before losing 11-8.

While the Sox offense showed some pop back in their home park, the pitching woes intensified. Sox skipper Ozzie Guillen said. "It was a pitching parade. "Those guys should be a little embarrassed of themselves."

While allowing the Indians 11 runs, Sox pitchers gave up 10 hits, issued six walks (including one with the bases loaded), threw two wild pitches -- one scoring a run -- hit two batters, and committed a balk. Sounds more like a Little League pitching line. Adding to the frustration, the first place Minnesota Twins actually lost to the last place Kansas City Royals Friday night, meaning the Sox missed a golden opportunity to regain the division lead.
