Most women (and men who like things tight) know how difficult it can be to find a properly-fitting pair of jeans. Thankfully P+L Boutique is here to help just in time to get a new pair for Fall. The Lakeview shop, which specializes in high-end denim, will hold a trunk show featuring 1921 brand jeans this Thursday at which customers can preview the latest looks, enjoy discounts and giveaways and most importantly seek the wisdom of 1921 “denim gurus,” who will be on site to help you figure out which cut is right for you. If nothing else, stop by for the free cupcakes and champagne, which we assume won’t be going quickly among a bunch of women trying to wriggle into their pre-Freshman 15 size.

Rock N’ Republic, which has long been my hands-down favorite denim brand (despite the price, I’ve worn the same two pairs for the last five years) is branching out into the world of cosmetics. Assuming they keep their standards of quality high, we’re willing to bet their makeup line is as glamourous as their jeans. If you’re not up to gambling, Bloomingdale’s will let you sample these products for free next week and take home a a few souvenirs as well.
