- Joe Ahern has been fired from his position as president and general manager of CBS 2. He'll be replaced by Bruno Cohen, who has managed stations in Sacramento.
- A "lost" Louis Sullivan-designed storefront was recently discovered during renovation work at 22 S. Wabash Ave in the Loop while another just a few doors up at 19 S. Wabash has been fully restored.
- A South Side woman and her daughter suffered non-life threatening injuries last night jumping from their second-story apartment to escape a masked home invader.
- A dozen northwest Indiana families who were displaced by September flooding are now looking for new places to live as their benefits have run out.
- Salman Aftab, a former aldermanic candidate from 2007 (50th Ward), was charged in connection to a road rage incident from October 3 in which he attacked another motorist with a metal rod. The charges include battery and aggravated assault.
- Police are currently investigating two Little Village shootings from last night that happened within minutes of each other to see if they're related. Both are believed to be gang-related.
