A group of Chicago journalists will talk about...well, women in journalism. The group includes: Linda Yu (ABC 7 News), Lynn Norment (managing editor - Ebony), Hanke Gratteau (former managing editor for news - Chicago Tribune), Sally Eisele (managing editor - Chicago Public Radio), and Cheryl Corley (NPR).

Tom Wolfe
The dapper literary giant, who has penned great works like The Bonfire of the Vanities and The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, will visit to discuss another one of his classics, The Right Stuff, this year's One Book, One Chicago pick. Check out the resource guide for the book to prepare. Wolfe may or may not mention his new novel, Back to Blood, due sometime next year.

Tom Piazza
We'll understand if you haven't heard of Piazza, but we hope that'll change. He's one of New Orleans' greatest contemporary writers, especially in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Piazza will be in town to promote his new novel, City of Refuge, so if you have the chance, head down to Hyde Park and give him a listen and read.
Friday, October 17, 6 p.m., 57th Street Books, 1301 E. 57th St.
