This Is What Nightmares Are Made Of

quickchange101508.jpgIt was a little over a week ago that we brought you the first report of a man dressed as a clown trying to lure kids into his vehicle in the Garfield Park area. And before we even had time to scrub that image from our brains, a new report from WBBM has new info on the King of the Creepers: Not only is the South Side not safe either, but he's using balloons, too. Oh good lord.

Police are saying that a man carrying balloons, wearing a wig, and painted in either clown makeup or white face-paint with blue teardrops tried to lure children into his vehicle, either a white van or a brown pickup. Two reports of attempted kidnapping/child abduction were filed, one in the 8300 block of South Mackinaw and one in the 10000 block of South Normal. The police alert said that "anyone with information or see(s) any suspicious person should call detectives, (312) 747-8272." Any suspicious person? Just say "creepy-ass clown." Unless it's Bill Murray channelling "Quick Change."
