The University of Nebraska has withdrawn a speaking invitation to controversial University of Illinois professor Bill Ayers. Ayers, as everyone knows by now, is a former radical with the Weather Underground group, known for some acts of domestic terrorism. Ayers had originally been invited to be a keynote speaker with the university's College of Education and Human Sciences centennial celebration. Nebraska cited "safety reasons" for the cancellation.
