Hudsons Take To Media For Help

By Marcus Gilmer in News on Oct 26, 2008 4:10PM

As the search continues for missing 7-year-old Julian King, his family has taken to the media to plea for his safe return. In an appearance at a South Side Church, his mother Julia said:

I don't care who you are, just let my baby go. I just want my son back. He doesn't deserve this...I have to believe that he’s OK. I have that hope that he’s OK, I have that faith that he’s OK...He’s not your typical 7-year-old.He doesn’t want to go outside, he doesn’t want to play. He’d rather stay at home and read a book or do some schoolwork or be with his relatives. That’s all Julian wants...I know he’s out there. Just let him go. Put him on the side of the street. He’ll sit there.
She also said he answers to the nicknames "Juicebox" and "Dr. King."

According to a timeline published by the Trib, it's now believed the shootings actually occurred between 8 and 9 a.m. Friday morning. Jennifer Hudson returned and identified the bodies of her mother and brother yesterday afternoon.

For her part, Jennifer Hudson took to MySpace to issue a plea. Titled, "Thank You All," the post on her MySpace Blog says:

Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately. Here is a picture of Julian and what he was last seen wearing. Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time.

Sincerely,
The Hudson Family
