Your Final Pre-Election Obamaist Round-Up

The clock is ticking and polls will open soon across this great nation of ours and soon we'll elect a new leader. As head into the home-stretch and supporters begin worrying about a repeat of 2000 (or worse), here are a few stories about the Chicago candidate, Illinois Senator Barack Obama.
- Obama will enter Election Day with a heavy heart as it's been reported his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has passed away at her home in Hawaii.
- The Trib undertook the valiant, thankless task of trying to wring hard, factual information about tomorrow night's Obamapalooza festivities for the public.
- One reporter went so far as to track down Obama's barber. Strangely, he doesn't say anything about the halo interfering.
- We've seen some people go overboard for their candidate of choice, but this guy wins the crazy contest. Good luck getting that off on November 5th, man.
- While speculation centers around whether or not Obama will suffer from the Bradley Effect at the polls tomorrow, a few writers dig deeper and consider how Obama will be affected by the Huxtable Effect and even (sigh) the Urkel Effect. Not mentioned: the dreaded Rerun Effect.
- In their final poll, Gallup has Obama up with a 55-44 edge.
