Bell's Pairs Up With Belgian Brewery

By Chuck Sudo in Food on Dec 2, 2008 5:00PM

2006_10_bells.gifClosing out a banner 2K8 in which his beers triumphantly returned to the area, Bell's Beer founder Larry Bell has been tapped to brew next year's collaboration ale with Dirk Naudts of De Proef Brouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium. Naudts is highly regarded for bringing state-of-the art 21st Century brewing techniques to time honored Belgian brewing recipes.

De Proef's previous collaborations, with Tomme Arthur of The Lost Abbey and Allagash brewmaster Jason Perkins, have become highly sought after collectors beers. It'll be interesting to see what Naudts and Bell can come up with once they start bouncing ideas around.
