Blackhawks Douse Flames
The Flames made Chicago sweat a bit in this one, but the Blackhawks came away with the 3-2 overtime victory. Patrick Kane and Dave Bolland recorded the other two scores, while Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 32 shots on goal. The soaring 'Hawks remain unbeaten in the month of December..

Celtics Plow Bulls
Neither snow nor rain nor Chicago Bulls could stop the Boston Celtics Friday night, as their 126-108 victory made it 17 straight. The Bulls hung tough until halftime, but the Celtics dropped 41 in the third quarter to push a two-point lead to 16. Luol Deng led the Bulls with 19 points and Andres Nocioni was good for 16 more off the bench. Joakim Noah left in the first quarter with a sprained ankle and Tyrus Thomas was inactive due to a concussion sustained in Wednesday's win over the Clippers.

College Basketball
DePaul took advantage of the struggling Southern University Jaguars, 83-46. The Jaguars, at 0-10, are quickly becoming the NCAA's Washington Generals, and the Demons had their pails of confetti ready. DePaul shot 55% in the blowout, with Dar tucker going eight for nine and hitting four three-point buckets. Will Walker added 19, as the team now preps for a trip to Nevada to wrap up the Las Vegas Classic.
