Blackhawks Conquer Canucks
The Blackhawks completed their Canadian conquest Saturday night, defeating the Vancouver Canucks 3-1. Patrick Sharp had the game winner in the second period, bookended by scores from Patrick Kane and Jonathon Toews. Cristobal Huet played the role of backstop, denying 30 of 31 attempts on goal. The 'Hawks now return home for the holidays, hoping to resume their hot streak Friday against the Flyers.

Bulls Play Jazz
The Bulls are keeping the beat at home, this time with a 106-98 win over the Utah Jazz. Chicago trailed by one at the five-minute mark, but Derrick Rose and Ben Gordon combined for a quick seven to give the Bulls a preservable lead. Gordon and Rose had 26 and 24 respectively, neither player hesitating to attack the basket. The Bulls stand at 10-3 on their home court, but must take to the road for five of their next six bouts.

College Basketball
Northwestern had their pockets picked, as they surrendered 11 steals to the unbeaten Stanford Cardinals in a 65-59 loss.

The Loyola Ramblers found their bearings at the break against NIU, never trailing in the second half en route to a 72-62 win.

Chicago State dominated the boards and capitalized on turnovers in a 66-49 victory against the Samford Bulldogs.

UIC was outscored early by the Illinois State Redbirds, and found themselves unable catch back up as they fell 67-60.

Illinois pulled away from the Detroit Titans to start the second period, cruising to an 81-52 win.

Notre Dame defeated the Delaware State Hornets, 88-50, as the Irish took advantage of their presence inside.
