Timberwolves Fell Bulls
At the dawn of a five-game home stint, the Bulls got up on the wrong side of the bed, losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-92. Trailing by seven, Chicago mustered eight straight points to start the fourth quarter and took their first lead since the opening period. The T'wolves battled back, however, and Ryan Gomes' three ball at the two-minute mark gave Minnesota enough elbow room to wrestle this one away. Derrick Rose outscored the rest with 22 points.

College Basketball
No. 10 Notre Dame couldn't weather the tight defense of St. John's Red Storm, as the Irish were upset 71-65.

Northwestern hung tough early against no. 15 Michigan State, but a 12-0 run to start the second half would secure a 77-66 Spartan victory.

Loyola didn't have an answer for the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Panthers' three-point barrage, falling 80-66.

DePaul never led against the Providence Friars, partially undone by their 16 percent three-point shooting in the 62-54 loss.

UIC only managed one point in a seven-minute stretch of their game against the Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix, leading to a 66-61 defeat.

Chicago State caught fire in the second half against the Eastern Michigan Eagles, scoring 52 en route to a 79-61 victory.
