Blue Line Delays

What the CTA is calling a "Medical Emergency" has disrupted southbound Blue Line service into the Loop. The incident occurred at the Jackson stop. The CTA is urging people to seek alternate routes southbound into the Loop. It's the second major disruption of serviec for the CTA's trains in as many days after a derailment interrupted Yellow and Red Line service yesterday.
Update: The Trib is reporting that a southbound Blue Line train struck a person at the Jackson stop, critically injuring them, which accounts for the suspension of service.
Update II: It appears that things are once again moving on the southbound Blue Line. A variety of Chicagoistas/os and friends are reporting eastbound buses across the North Side are packed as people head from the Blue Line to the Red Line. According to press reports, the woman was on the tracks when the accident occurred and had to be rescued from underneath the train. She sustained leg and head injuries but was conscious and alert when rescuers reached her; she was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
