"No news is good news" is a welcome cliche when it comes to winter weather in Chicago. Today will fulfill the cliche and we don't mind one bit. It'll be partly sunny with highs in the mid 20s today and mostly cloudy tonight with a slight chance of snow and lows in the upper teens. Things look relatively calm - with a chance of snow - this weekend until the bottom drops out Monday night. Damn. Today is also the anniversary of the day on which the United States' debt hit $0 for the first - and only - time (January 8, 1835).
