Predators Down Blackhawks
The Blackhawks faltered on the road against the Nashville Predators Saturday night, losing 4-1. Adam Burish cut into an 0-2 deficit in the third when he deposited a rebound shot off the stick of James Wisniewski, but Chicago couldn't keep Nashville at bay. Radek Bonk put the game out of reach with a subsequent score, and David Legwand tacked on an empty netter in the waning seconds. The Blackhawks will get a shot at revenge tonight when the Predators come to Chicago.

Thunder Rattle Bulls
The Bulls lost at home to the league's worst team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, 109-98 in OT. A proud Chicago citizen ate 24 cookies during the halftime eating contest (well, 23 if you discount the one he regurgitated), but it's the Bulls' play that was too disgusting to talk about. If you must satisfy your morbid curiosity, you can read more about it here.

College Basketball
No. 13 Notre Dame fended off the Seton Hall Pirates 88-79, led by Luke Harangody and his 30-point booty.

Loyola thwarted the Youngstown State Penguins 68-57, having been fully prepared for their antics.

DePaul was trampled by the South Florida Bulls 70-58, and now stand at 0-4 in Big East play.

UIC fell victim to the Cleveland State Vikings 79-69, as Flames' star scorer Josh Mayo was held to six points on 10 attempts.

Chicago State lit up the North Carolina Central Eagles 115-96, recording their highest point total in 13 years.

Illinois thumped the Indiana Hoosiers 76-45, with guard Trent Meacham sinking seven of the Illini's 13 three pointers.

NIU out-gunned the Toledo Rockets 75-51, shooting 51 percent from the field while holding their opponents to 2-for-21 from three-point territory.
